The deadly outbreak of a novel coronavirus – COVID-19 – has altered the world as we know it. Schools and most businesses are closed. Economies are struggling or collapsing. Travel is restricted or, at the least, discouraged.
The way we live is different now. Someday, future generations will want to know how this global pandemic impacted Central Illinois. They will want to hear our stories, see our photographs, know our lives from this time.
Peoria Public Library invites you to share your experiences as part of our Community Archive, part of a digital record of this time which we will preserve for future generations to examine.
At this time, physical items will not be collected, but we encourage you to submit photographs, journal entries, oral histories and artwork. Feel free to submit multiple entries, but please note that Peoria Public Library reserves the right to curate our collection for both space and content.
All questions and submissions can be sent to COVIDarchivePPL@gmail.com
