Peoria Public Library and Friends of Peoria Public Library has resumed taking book donations.

The Friends of Peoria Public Library accept donations of used books, DVDs and CDs. They no longer accept magazines. Items should be brought to the backdoor at Main Library if you have a large amount. Branches will accept smaller donations. Our Collections Manager reviews anything that is new, local or unusual and determines if it should be added to the library collection. The remainder of the items are then priced and put up for sale at The Friendly Finds Bookstore at Main Library or the Book Sale Shelves at the various branches. To check hours, volunteer or for more information please call 309-497-2145.

The money raised through these sales funds many of the programs, especially for children, or pays for items the library needs that are not within the budget. Without our wonderful volunteers and those who donate we would not have this additional source of funding.

People can support Peoria Public Library by donating books, shopping at The Friendly Finds Book store or Branch Sale Shelves, volunteering to help the Friends of the Library or making a monetary gift to either the Friends endowment or as a gift or memorial to Peoria Public Library directly.
