Science in the library! Come celebrate a week of science-themed programs, culminating in a Pi recitation contest and egg drop competition on Saturday!

Monday, March 12, 7:00-7:45 p.m. – Lab Coat Storytime – Join us for a fun, science-themed storytime for all ages. Feel free to dress up as your favorite scientist or just come in your pajamas.

Wednesday, March 14, 4:00-5:00 p.m. – Cooking Science Demonstration – What makes baked goods rise? What is a protein and why would you want to denature it? What are starches and emulsifiers? Find out the answers to these questions and more, and take home some fun family recipes.

Thursday, March 15, 4:00-4:30 p.m. – Slime Craft – Get your hands messy and discover the power of polymers as we make different kinds of slime!

Friday, March 16, 4:00-5:45 p.m. – Join us in the Beehive room to watch Flubber, starring Robin Williams. PG.

Saturday, March 17, 3:14-4:00 p.m. – How many digits of Pi can you recite? The winner gets a pie!

Saturday, March 17, 3:00-5:00 p.m. – Dare to whisk it? Hatch a plan so your egg can survive a fall AND land on target. Building starts in the Beehive at 3:00 (materials provided), with drops starting outside at 4:00.
